Artist, anthropologist and Italian translator, Brittney is the artistic director of Digitalis Purpurea. She has collaborated internationally as a singer, performer, event producer, costume designer, and translator on artistic projects.
Her most recent productions have included the Olive Harvest Festival at the Art Monastery’s guesthouse, Casale Santa Brigida, in the golden hills of Umbria, Italy and 30 Works in 30 Days: Friends and Family a contemplative art-creation practice. She is also does public relations and volunteer coordination for the Art Monastery Project, and runs creative permaculture gardening workshops there, which include lessons in her own special type of “garden yoga.”

Steamy tea soothing the soul...

Brittney is an artist, designer, creativity coach and Italian interpreter. The executive director of Digitalis Purpurea, an international arts organization, she has collaborated as an artist, vocalist, performer, event producer, costume designer and translator on artistic projects and events worldwide. She is also currently a Sustainable MBA candidate at Bainbridge Graduate Institute.

Working as an artist, translator and collaborator with the Art Monastery Project from 2008-2010, she helped support and produce symposia, festivals, workshops, shows and classes such as  Olive Harvest Festival, Il Labirinto, La Clausura Sconfinata with the Lori Belilove Isadora Duncan Dance Company of New Yorkand a Youth Empowerment Through the Arts camp with Charlie Murphy of PYE Global. She also instructed creative food and permaculture gardening courses and managed their guesthouse, the Casale Santa Brigida, nestled in the golden hills of Umbria, often giving visitors and volunteers introductory lessons in her own special version of “garden yoga.”

Her most recent productions have included 30 Works in 30 Days: Friends and Family, a contemplative art-creation practice, and Città Ideale: Mechanics/Nature/Eros, a collaborative installation with artist-designer Francesca Sciandra which was first shown at the 2010 Tracce exhibtition in Narni, Italy. Often found creating art in her 1300s medieval tower-turned-art studio (where, reportedly, there have been several unicorn sightings), Brittney is also a passionate gardener and has established several large permaculture gardens around the world.
